A prominent stone dentilled cornice and trio of round arched openings, recently altered, accentuate the dressed limestone façade. Along with the building to the east, early uses include wagons and farm machinery, livery, and harness repair shop.
J. H Booty owned and operated his business in the building as a “store” for a few years before selling it to the Cleveland family who operated the businesses mentioned above. The building was modified over the years to meet the needs of the owners.
1. This building used a “common/ shared wall” to serve more businesses in the late 1900s.
2. The original windows and door openings were round arches with keystones.
3. The current tenant is Hogaboom Road Productions which produces “The Daytripper” - a popular TV program showing off Texas cities starring local resident Chet Garner.
