On Sunday, May 1st, Preservation Georgetown celebrated 45 years of protecting Georgetown's historic architecture with a special event that featured presentations by PG members and gifts presented to past board members. Board President, Mickie Ross, kicked off the event with outlining all the good things that Preservation Georgetown has done to make a difference in the community to include starting a Preservation Fund in 2016 to assist home and business owners with grants to repair and restore their historic buildings. Guest speaker, Linda McCalla, answered questions and stated, "our work is intentional" with regard to balancing the growth of Georgetown with protecting its historic structures.
