Once a year Preservation Georgetown (PG) offers grants to assist owners with the preservation of historic residential and commercial structures in the greater Georgetown area. Established in 2016, to date 22 projects have been completed with the average grant award of $3,400.
The 2022 grant application window is open! The application process occurs in two phases which are detailed in the application.
Phase I is a general evaluation to determine if your project qualifies. The application is due to Preservation Georgetown by July 15, 2022. If your project is selected, you will move on to Phase II.
Phase II conducts a very detailed evaluation of your project and supporting documents. The Phase II application is due to Preservation Georgetown by November 15, 2022.
Grants awards will be announced in early December 2022.
